KARACHI: Senior Advisor on Interior Affairs Rehman Malik said Wednesday, that the Interior Ministry has written a letter to Qatar's government calling for the deportation of former NAB chief Saifur Rehman and to extradite him to Pakistan.

Talking to media persons at State Guest House, he said that the Qatari government has been informed through a letter that Pakistan has issued a red warrant for the arrest of Saifur Rehman, who is now living in Qatar.

Showing a copy of the letter to the media, the interior advisor said several cases have been lodged by Pakistan's government against Saifur Rehman, therefore his arrest was necessary for the country.
