QUETTA, July 22: Gas supply to parts of the provincial capital, including the Cantonment area, was suspended after some people blew up a pipeline on the outskirts of the city on Sunday.

According to sources, saboteurs left an explosive device along the gas pipeline in Killi Mubarak area and blew it up.

After the incident, law-enforcement agencies personnel cordoned off the area.

Officials of the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) said a big portion of the pipeline was destroyed by the powerful explosion. They said the SSGC engineers and other staff had started the repair work on the pipeline.
