Moenjodaro was once a thriving ancient metropolis, and is now the icon of the Indus Valley Civilization. Its name is derived from Sindhi, and means the ‘mound of the dead’.

Today however, it is not just ancient ruins that can be seen there, but also a remnant of their discoverer. Rusting in a barred garage near the Moenjodaro Museum, is Sir John Marshall’s Model-T Ford. - Text and Photos by Mukhtar Azad
