KARACHI, Aug 14: Young Ibrahim Iltifat and Dawar Rehan propelled into boys and girls’ under-15 singles last four outplaying their opponents in straight sets in the two quarter-finals of Independence Day tennis tournament at Bath Island Club on Tuesday.
Ibrahim, who is placed third in under-15 STA half-yearly rankings, cruised to 6-2, 6-3 victory over Maheen Dada while second ranked Dawar blanked Noor-e-Mustafa 6-0, 6-0.
Earlier, the two players have won their first round fixtures against Umer Siddiqui and Kainat Zulfiqar respectively on Monday.
The event which is being held in four categories — men’s/ladies singles, ladies singles, under-15 and under-11 singles concludes on Wednesday.
