SWABI, Aug 23: Three people, including two women, committed suicide while a young man drowned in a local rainwater pond here on Thursday, police said.

In Tordher village, wife of one Nural Baswar allegedly consumed poisonous pills after which she was taken to a nearby hospital when her condition deteriorated. However, she did not survive, while doctors said that the woman was not brought to the hospital immediately after the incident.

The cause of the incident was stated to be a domestic dispute.

Similarly wife of one Zaman Khan also consumed poisonous pills and ended her life in Gar Yusufi village. She died on way to hospital. The cause of the incident was not yet confirmed.

In Tordher, Ahmad Nawaz, 20, allegedly shot himself dead in his house. The cause of the incident was not immediately known, but some of his relatives told this correspondent that the incident was a result of some domestic dispute.

In Ismaila Badri one Qasim Khan drowned while bathing in a rainwater pond when water level increased after overnight rain.

Later, his body was recovered by local people.

The number of people killed in different incidents in Swabi during last three days has reached 15.
