MULTAN, Aug 27: Passengers annoyed by frequent breakdowns of the locomotive of 11-Up Hazara Express held a demonstration at the Cantonment railway station on Monday.

The train, which was going to Sargodha from Karachi, arrived at Multan at least 12 hours late than the scheduled time.

The passengers demanded change of the engine and stopped Tezgam and Jaffar Express at the station in protest.

The railway police had to resort to baton charge to get the track cleared from the protesting passengers.

The train left for its destination after three hours without the replacement of the engine.
