DADU: Demo against Nazim held

DADU, Dec 27: The residents of Union Council 4 of Dadu city held a protest demonstration outside the press club on Friday against their Union Council Nazim, Syed Hussain Shah.

The demonstrators carrying banners raised slogans against the Union Council Nazim for not carrying out development works in their locality.

They were led by Qurban Ali Zoun, Ali Sher Leghari and Amir Afzal.

Talking to newsmen, the demonstrators alleged that development works like roads, sewerage system, and repairing of schools were not being carried out in their locality.

They complained that the sewerage system in the Union Council 4 had collapsed as gutters could be seen overflowing.

AMENITIES DEMANDED: The Nazim, Union Council Lakha, Kotri Taluka, Niaz Ahmed Khoso, while talking to newsmen on Friday, said that the people of his union council were living without basic amenities.

He said that he had informed the DCO, Dadu, through a letter about the situation and carrying out development works.

He said that six Dehs of his union council — Lakhra, Ocho, Kubi, Kori Jani, Kachhi, and Bhardar — were being neglected due to infighting between the feudal lords of the area.
