LAHORE, Sept 10: Rail traffic on Jacobabad-Sibi section was restored on Monday after repair and rehabilitation of the track as floodwater receded.

Regretting the inconvenience to passengers a Pakistan Railways spokesman said that efforts were under way to repair and rehabilitate track damaged by continuous rain at several places in Sindh.

“The best way to cope with natural calamities is to exhibit restraint and patience. Resorting to protests would not solve the problem.

Everyone is helpless against natural calamities,” said the spokesman and added that traffic would be restored between Multan and Bahawalpur, Kot Addu-Dera Ghazi Khan besides Kashmor-Dera Ghazi Khan sections in the shortest possible time after receding of floodwater.
