KARACHI, Sept 29: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad has approved the bill for the establishment of the Habib University Karachi. The Sindh Assembly had approved the bill in June earlier this year.

The governor called the university a good addition in the higher education sector, according to a statement issued on Friday.

A senior university official, Sadaf Latafat, said the institution would be functional from the year 2014. It would be a private university dealing in disciplines of liberal arts and sciences, she added.—APP
