KARACHI, Oct 10: The National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) Tennis Championship has now been moved from Islamabad to Karachi owing to some sudden changes in the Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) rules.

Shahida Kausar Farooq, the chairperson of Subh-e-Nau, said in a statement on Wednesday that the tournament will now be played in Karachi from Oct 18.

This week-long championship will feature players in different categories including men’s singles, men’s doubles, ladies singles, boys juniors U-18, boys juniors U-14 and boys & girls U-11. Shahida Farooq further announced that the prize money for this tournament will be Rs 200,000.

She added that the venue for the championship will be announced later while daily allowance will be paid to all outstation players.

Dr. Farrukh Chishtie will be the Tournament Director while Abdul Saeed Ahmed will officiate the event as Tournament Referee. Interested players can send their entries latest by Oct 17. Finals of this championship will be played on Oct 23rd.
