QUETTA, Oct 24: A division bench of Balochistan High Court, comprising Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa and Justice Naeem Akhtar, disposed of a petition after it was informed on Wednesday by police that two missing persons of Gwadar returned to their homes safely.

Balochistan’s Additional Advocate General Shai Haq submitted a report of the SHO of Gwadar police station stating that Waleed and Nabeel had returned to their homes.

A statement of Waleed under Section 161 of the Criminal Procedure Code was also submitted confirming that both missing persons had reached their homes on Oct 21.

Copies of the report and the statement have been provided to petitioner’s counsel Malik Zahoor Baloch, advocate.

The petition was filed by Mohammad Afzal, the father of a missing person, against the ministry of interior.

In another case, the court directed the local administration officials, including the commissioner, deputy commissioner, assistant commissioner and tehsildar, and the Quetta Municipal Corporation to comply strictly with its orders and remove graffiti of political parties from the walls.

Standing counsel Chaudhry Mumtaz Yousuf, on behalf of the ministry of information, sought more time to implement the court orders.
