ISLAMABAD/CHAKWAL: Seven people were killed and 27 others were injured when a bus overturned on the Motorway near the Salt Range in Kallar Kahar area on Sunday, DawnNews reported.

The bus was on its way to Raiwand from Nowsehera carrying 80 passengers, part of a Tableeghi (religious preaching) congregation, at the time time of accident.

The accident occurred due to over  speeding, according to police sources.

All injured were shifted to a hospital in Rawalpindi for treatment.

Previously, last year in September,  an accident in the same area had claimed the lives of at least 45 students in a similar accident.
