ATTOCK, Nov 8: A man returned back to his hometown in Pindigheb, after 15 years. He had been residing in Karachi, at an undisclosed location, due to a family dispute, police sources informed.

Muhammad Alsam  resident of Pindigheb went missing in 1997 and his relatives could not find any clues to his disappearance, despite conducting a hectic search. Due to which his name was included in the list of missing persons.

Since then, the district police was in his search on directives of the missing persons’ commission and a week back, they traced his whereabouts in Karachi through a mobile SIM data and assured the relatives that he was alive.

He was later produced in front of the commission on Wednesday, sources maintained. He informed the commission that he had willingly  left his house, some 15 years back in 1997, after he became annoyed with his family.

After the statement, the commission asked the police to allow Mr Aslam to go back to his house, as a free citizen, sources added.

OLD MAN DROWNED: An old man drowned in a small dam, around Shehbazpur village, Pindigheb.

Police sources informed that a 65-year-old Noor Mohammad suddenly went missing from the house. A search was conducted and his body was found in the local dam, on Wednesday evening.
