KARACHI, Nov 9: Giving a giant killing performance, Pakistan top cueist Mohammad Asif thrashed Hong’s Kong’s Andy Lee straight 5-0 to reach final of Dubai International Open Snooker Championship in Dubai on Friday.

The Pakistan national champion broke the jinx while handing a convincing 52-38, 89-41, 119-0, 64-9, 70-17 victory over his opponent in the best of nine frames semi-final and proved that his 4-2 triumph over the same player in the league was not flash in a pan.

Asif is scheduled to face Thailand’s Nippon Singham in the final on Saturday.

Earlier, Mohammad Asif beat Omar Alkojah of Syria 5-4 to reach the semi-finals.
