SUKKUR, Dec 10: A man allegedly killed his married sister in Amir Bux Kalhoro village within the remit of the Mirpur Mathelo police station of Ghotki district on Monday.

Police said that the suspect, Shah Baig, shot dead his sister, Bhagul, wife of Manjhi Naseerani, in the name of honour after she was accused of having illicit relations with a resident of Kashmore.

They said Shah Baig went to house of his sister and her husband and shot her dead, adding that he fled the scene after committing the crime.

Police took the body into custody and got a post-mortem examination performed at the Taluka Hospital Daharki. The body was later handed over to her heirs, living in Kashmore.

No case was registered till late Monday evening.

Man commits suicide A young man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling fan in Ahmed Mian Soomro village within the remit of the Airport police station in Jacobabad on Monday.

Police said that the man, Ghous Bux, 32, son of Mir Muhammad Talani, took the extreme action over some domestic issues. His body was shifted to the Civil Hospital Jacobabad for a post-mortem examination and then handed over to his heirs, they added.

The father of the deceased told the police that his son suffered from some mental disorder.
