Tariq Cheema replaced

LAHORE, Dec 10: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) (Bahawalpur) divisional president Tariq Bashir Cheema has been replaced by Afzal Sindhu and district president Salahuddin Jilani by Riaz Dar on the orders of chairperson Benazir Bhutto.

Cheema, the Bahawalpur district Nazim, had been supporting PML-Q-backed Tasneem Nawaz Gardezi rather than PPP’s own candidate for NA-187, Taj Mohammad Langah.— Staff Reporter
