ISLAMABAD: Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Friday declared Dec 21 as doomsday for Governor Punjab Sardar Latif Khosa, DawnNews reported.

Speaking to media representatives during an informal conversation at the Parliament House, Khan said changing the governor was a result of President Asif Ali Zardari’s confusion and haste.

Khan said changing governors two and a half months before the general elections was politically unsound.

He further said that the government’s performance would be the deciding factor in the upcoming polls instead of its dexterity at political bargaining.

On being asked to comment on the tax amnesty bill, Khan said the opposition would not accommodate the government on the accountability and amnesty bill.

He added that if the government managed to pass the bill on the basis of majority, the opposition would scrap the bill once it comes into power.

Khan also declared the tax amnesty bill as illegal and unconstitutional, adding that, the opposition would also approach the courts on the matter.
