KARACHI: Six people were killed in different incidents of violence in various parts of Karachi whereas a blast occurred in Quidbabad area of the city on Monday, DawnNews reported.

Three people were critically injured in a gun-firing incident in Nazimabad No 7. All injured were shifted to a nearby hospital where they succumbed to their wounds during treatment.

Another person died of gunshot wounds  near Two-Minute chowrangi in North Karachi area of the city.

One person was killed and another injured in a gun firing incident in Karachi's Ayub goth area near Sohrab Goth.

A person was shot to death near the Northern Bypass on the Super Highway.

In another unrelated incident, a blast occurred near a garbage collection site in Quaidabad's Rehri Goth area of Karachi on Monday.

The blast was caused by explosive material lying in the garbage.

No casualties or damage was reported whereas fear and panic gripped the area after the explosion

The bomb disposal sqaud (BDS) reached the site of explosion, along with a heavy contingent of police and Rangers personnel.
