Elephants and mahouts from Chitwan, Kathmandu will participate in the Elephant Race event, that began on Wednesday and will end on Friday, where elephants will play in an exhibition soccer match and various other sports and activities.

Mahout comes from the Hindi word mahaut meaning ‘elephant rider.’
