LAHORE, Dec 28: The Federal Investigation Agency on Friday arrested an assistant director of the passport and immigration office, Garden Town, in connection with the Afghan passport scam.
FIA passport cell deputy director Nasir Jamil told Dawn it had arrested assistant director Iqbal Shahid and an agent for allegedly helping eleven Afghans get the Pakistani passports.
“We are conducting raids to arrest three more officials of the passport office and as many agents,” Jamil said.
