SUKKUR: Ownership rights demanded

SUKKUR, Dec 13: Naib District Nazim Iqbal Dawood Pakwala has demanded of Federal Minister Ghaus Bux Khan Mahar that ownership orders should be issued to residents of kutcha abadis.

He said Ayub Gate Colony, Freek Hill Colony, Shamsabad Colony and Rati Line were not the lands of the railways and asked the minister to stop the demolishing of these colonies.

WORKSHOP: A five-day training workshop on mental health was inaugurated at the Health Technician School here on Monday.

The workshop was organized by the Federal Project Implementation Unit, in collaboration with the WHO.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Kartar Lal Pamnani said surveys conducted in the country showed that 10 per cent of the population suffered from mild to moderate psychiatric illness and one per cent suffered from severe mental illness.

It was inaugurated by DCO Ziaul Haq Suharwardy and was presided over by EDO (health) Dr Mohammad Ashfaq Piraca.
