KARACHI: Siraj Talpur, one of the key suspects in the Shahzeb murder case, was arrested from Moro on Saturday, DawnNews reported.

Talpur was arrested by the Special Investigation Unit of the police from Moro, a town in the Naushero Feroz district of Sindh province.

Twenty-year-old Shahzeb Khan was gunned down on Dec 25, 2012 in Karachi and Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry had taken a suo motu notice in this case.

Shahrukh Jatoi and Siraj Talpur are the two key suspects in the murder.

On Friday, the SC had given the Sindh police 24 hours to arrest the killers of Karachi youth or be ready for serious consequences.

A three-judge bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry had ordered Inspector General of Sindh Police Fayyaz Leghari to arrest within a day the accused involved in the murder of Shahzeb, attach their property and seize their bank accounts.
