BATKHELA, Jan 9: The Pakistan Army will construct a girls’ high school in Inzargi area, some 50km from here, to provide modern educational facilities to students of this backward region.

There was no girls’ high school in the mountainous Inzargai area and a few committed girls have to continue their studies in the boys’ high school against the norms of Pakhtun culture, says Colonel Islam, commanding officer of Pakistan Army in Malakand, in a briefing to media persons at his office.

He said a banker Mohammad Aslam from Lahore had agreed to bear all expenditures.

He said the foundation stone of the building will be laid today (Thursday), which will be completed by March end or early April, this year.
