KOHAT: The death toll in Hangu's Pat Bazaar suicide attack rose to 27 with the death of an injured child at Lady Reading Hospital, Peshawar, DawnNews reported.

The Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) accepted responsibility for the attack in front of Masjid Faizaullah which also left scores of worshipers injured.

Eshanullah Ehsan, the TTP spokesman speaking to Dawn.com said that the target was the Shia mosque, and the reason for the attack was their ideological differences with the community which he said would continue to be on their hit list.
