PESHAWAR: A blast occured in a mobile market in Gur Mandi area near Peshawar's Hashtnagri Phattak, injuring 17 people on Thursday.

Media channels reported that the injured were shifted to Lady Reading Hospital.

Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) officials told Dawn.com that 1.5 kilogrammes of explosive materials were used in the blast.

Security forces cordoned off the area as investigations into the incident went underway.
