SUKKUR, March 1: Sindh Minister for Culture Sassui Palijo inaugurated the Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Cultural Complex here on Friday.

Talking to journalists, the minister said that besides the complex in Sukkur, the department was constructing more cultural complexes, auditoriums and theatres in Daharki, Makli, Thatta, Larkana, Shikarpur and other districts.

She said that work on the master plan for Moenjodaro had also been completed, which had no precedent in the past. The present government had launched various schemes in almost all sectors, she said, adding the Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto complex would be completed during current year.

She said the democratic government was nearing completion of its tenure and its credit went to the supreme sacrifice laid down by Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and the policy of reconciliation which kept collation partners together.

She said the local government ordinance of 1979 was reintroduced to fulfil demand of people of Sindh and work on its implementation had been started.

The government had bravely faced all challenges including, terrorism, law and order as well as target killings, she said.

Earlier, officials of the culture department briefed the minister about the complex. She was accompanied by secretary for culture Abdul Aziz Uqaili.
