LAHORE, March 1: President Asif Ali Zardari could not attend Aitchison College’s Founder’s Day on Friday due to indisposition.

An official informed Dawn that President Zardari was not feeling well and cancelled Friday’s scheduled engagements, including the Aitchison College’s function and meeting with some PPP leaders, and stayed at the Bilawal House in Bahria Town.

Later in the evening, Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf, ministers Ahmed Mukhtar and Manzoor Wattoo visited the president and inquired after his health and congratulated him on Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project.

Presidential spokesman Farahatullah Babar did not take Dawn’s call to comment on the president’s health.
