QUETTA. March 2: The ‘Baloch cultural day’ was observed in Quetta and other parts of the province on Saturday.

The people celebrated the day by holding musical functions and cultural and literary events.

A large number of people including women and children and attired in traditional dresses thronged the Arts Council where youth exhibited their talents in singing and performing traditional dance (Balochi Chaap).

They expressed delight over their culture and tradition which they said imparted love, tolerance and brotherhood.

They expressed reservations over the government efforts in promoting Baloch culture and said that more needed to be done in this regard.

The cities and towns where the day was observed included Nushki, Turbat, Gwadar, Mastung, Chagai, Sibi, Naseerabad and Jaffarabad.
