SUKKUR, Jan 26: A 12-year-old girl, who was abducted on Saturday evening and subjected to criminal assaults by two men, reached home in a critical condition on Sunday morning.

The girl, SN, daughter of AHM, was missing from a house in the Central Jail Colony here on from Saturday evening.

The brother of the rape victim, MSM, lodged an FIR with the Rohri police, against two men, Ateeq Tunio and Asghar Dahar, accusing both of them of taking the girl to a deserted house and criminally assaulting her.

He accused both of the culprits of leaving the girl unconscious there.

The girl later managed to reach her home in a very critical condition.

The police referred the rape victim to the Civil Hospital, Sukkur, for a medical report.

The medical report, however, could not be finalized because of the Sunday holiday.

Both of the accused are reported to have escaped.

KARO-KARI: A man and a woman were axed to death by the woman’s husband on the pretext of Karo-kari in the Kaboo Samejo village, Ghotki district, on Sunday.

A. Bachayo killed his wife, Bhagul Bachayo, 22, and her alleged paramour, A. Wadhayo Samejo.

Police said that the man had fled after killing both.

TWO KILLED: A marriage ceremony turned into one of mourning when two members of the marriage party were killed and two others injured accidentally in Jarwar, near Mirpur Mathelo, Ghotki district, on Sunday.

One of the members of the marriage party, M. Ali Gabol, who was drunk, in jubiliation opened fire with his automatic rifle as a result of which two people, Ghulam Shabbir Bozdar and Abdul Rahim, were killed while two others, Alam Gabol and Shabbir Sangaro, injured.

The Mirpur Mathelo police arrested M. Ali Gabol and seized his rifle.

CHILD KIDNAPPED: A woman, Fehmida, 24, was injured and her 2-year-old daughter was kidnapped by a gang of dacoits in Ghotki on Saturday.

The woman had gone to the office of Advocate Aslam Shahani in connection with a divorce case filed against her husband, Shaban. Suddenly five armed men raided the office and tried to kidnap her. When she tried to offer resistance, the former opened fire as a result of which she was injured seriously. The men snatched her daughter, Maqsooda, from her arms and fled.

Police registered a case against the five men.
