KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), the main opposition party in the Sindh Assembly, has proposed five names for the post of caretaker chief minister of the province. Among the four nominees put forth by the MQM are four retires judges and a barrister.

Leader of the Opposition in the Sindh Assembly, Syed Sardar Ahmed told reporters on Thursday that he had suggested the names of Justice (Retd) Nasir Aslam Zahid, Justice (retd) Munib Ahmed, Justice (retd) Ghous Mohammad and Barrister Habibur Rahman.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah confirmed that he had received the five nominations from the opposition leader and said that he would inform President Asif Ali Zardari of the suggested names.
