HYDERABAD, April 1: Although a final list of voters in each constituency is yet to be released, the National Assembly seat NA-220 and the Sindh Assembly seats PS-46 and PS-47 are by far the biggest of the three NA and six PA constituencies in the district.

According to data obtained from the office of the district election commissioner, the NA-220 in City taluka comprises 25 union councils, including 13 complete and 12 partial UCs.

It has 418 census blocks and the number of registered votes in 2008 elections was 364,798. This constituency also covers two Sindh Assembly constituencies, PS-45 and PS-46.

According to details, PS-45 consists of 12 UCs of City taluka, including UCs 2, 3, 10, 11, 12, 17 and parts of UCs 1, 4, 5, 13, 16 and 18. There are 209 blocks in PS-45 and 181,048 registered voters.

Likewise, PS-46 has 13 UCs, including City taluka UCs 6, 7, 8, 9, 14, 15, 20 and parts of UCs 4, 5, 13, 18, 19 and also 12 UCs of Latifabad taluka. There are 209 blocks and 183,750 registered votes in the PA constituency.

The NA-219 constituency in Latifabad taluka comprises PS-48 and PS-49 and has a total of 18 UCs including four partial, 272 blocks and 346,959 registered votes.

The PS-48 consists of UCs 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 9, 10 and parts of UCs5 and 8 in Latifabad taluka. There are 121 blocks and 189,380 registered voters.

The PS-49 is spread over nine UCs including UCs 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, Cantonment IV and parts of UCs 5 and 12. The registered voters in its 151 blocks are 163,317.

The third National Assembly constituency, NA-221, is spread over four talukas but it is primarily based in Qasimabad and Hyderabad rural talukas and is also geographically the biggest constituency.

It has 258 blocks and 17 UCs, which include Hyderabad taluka rural UCs 2, 4, 5 and parts of UCs 1, 3, 6, 8 and 10, Qasimabad taluka UCs 1, 2, 3 and 4, parts of City taluka UCs 1, 16 and 18 and Latifabad taluka UCs 1 and a part of UC 5.

The PS-47 in Qasimabad taluka and PS-50 in Hyderabad rural taluka mainly constitute the NA-221 constituency where number of registered voters is 326,152.

The PS-47 constituency has 12 UCs, which include UCs 1, 2, 3 and 4 in Qasimabad, UC 1 and part of UC 5 in Latifabad, parts of UCs 1, 16 and 19, Cantonment I, II and III in City taluka. There are 208,464 voters in its 167 blocks.

The PS-50 in Hyderabad rural, with 120 blocks and 152,242 registered votes, comprises UCs 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 11 and parts of UCs 3, 8 and 10.—APP
