KARACHI: Pakistan's Majid Ali lost to Noppon Saengkham of Thailand in the final of the Under-21 Asian Snooker Championship on Sunday in Indore, India.
The 20-year-old from Faisalabad, who is featuring in his second Asian junior event, put up a fight but eventually lost 4-3.
Ali was just two frames away from the title but Saengkham improved his game and won the next two frames. Majid made a comeback and forced the match to go to the decisive eleventh frame in which Saengkham triumphed.
The other Pakistani in the event, Hamza Akbar, had previously been knocked out in the earlier stages of the tournament.
