RAWALPINDI: The Lahore High Court’s (LHC) Rawalpindi bench has sought a reply from the trial court regarding separate proceedings of former President Gen (Retd) Pervez Musharraf in the Benazir Bhutto murder case.

A single-judge bench comprising Justice Ali Baqir heard the case.

Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) prosecutor Chaudhry Zulfiqar said the former president had not appeared even once before the court, despite repeated summons, however the trial has been started anew.

He also observed that only 25 witnesses had recorded their statements in the court in the past five years.

Seeking reply from the trial court, the bench adjourned hearing until further notice.
