Everyone remembers Al Pacino for The Godfather and Scarface but some of his other movies from 70s like Serpico, Dog Day Afternoon & ...And Justice for All are absolute classics.

Definitely one of the best movies I have seen. Possibly Al Pacino's first movie or one his first few but its up there with his Scent of a Woman.

A brilliant movie, and a mesmerizing Al Pacino. If u thought he was spectacular in GF I, II, and Scarface....then just watch him in Dog Day Afternoon. Quite simply one of the greatest performances in movie history.

According to wikipedia:
Wyoming (i/wa??o?m??/) is a state in the mountain region of the Western United States. Wyoming is the 10th most extensive, but the least populous and the second least densely populated of the 50 United States. The western two thirds of the state is covered mostly with the mountain ranges and rangelands in the foothills of the Eastern Rocky Mountains, while the eastern third of the state is high elevation prairie known as the High Plains. Cheyenne is the capital and the most populous city of Wyoming with a population of nearly 60,000 people within its city proper.

That was quite a point you made but :
Its Sonny who's never been to Wyoming. Sal seemed to know what he was talking about...........or so we presume.

Dog day afternoon is a very well knit project, it shows the directionless, desperate bunch looking for a way through, where every thing goes awry. The performance by Al Pacino and the rest of the cast is awesome and tension and directionless energy of the characters creeps into the audience and binds them to their seats. Great direction by sidney Lumet.
