KARACHI, April 14: Nain Abidi’s century helped ZTBL Women beat Multan Region Women by 294 runs in the 8th National Women Cricket Championship at the Ittefaq Cricket Ground in Lahore on Sunday.

ZTBL won the toss and elected to bat first. Nain Abidi scored 115 off 87 balls which included two sixes and 14 fours. Javeria Khan added another 87 while Nida Dar remained not out on 62. The other half century maker in the side was Sana Mir, who contributed 54 runs.

In reply, Multan Region were all out for 90 in 47.1 overs. Nain Abidi was declared the Player of the Match.

In the other match played at the EME Ground in Lahore, HEC Women beat Faisalabad Region Women by nine wickets. The toss was won by Faisalabad, who elected to bat first and put on 111 runs before getting all out in 41.4 overs. HEC’s Rahma Hasan picked up four wickets while giving away 29 runs.

In reply, HEC met their target in 27.2 overs. Areeba Qazi made 50 off 84 balls which included six fours. Rahma Hasan was declared the Player of the Match.

HEC Women beat Faisalabad Women by nine wickets at the EME Ground.

FAISALABAD REGION WOMEN: 111 in 41.4 overs (Zainab Riaz 33, Maria Ashraf 14, Uzma Yousaf 16, Rahma Hasan 4-29, Areeba Hasan 2-21). HEC WOMEN: 112-1 in 27.2 overs (Areeba Qazi 50, 6x4s, 84 balls, Sidra Amin 40, 3x4s, 69 balls).
