RAWALPINDI, Nov 26: Water supply from Rawal Dam Filtration Plant will remain suspended for 16 hours on Wednesday, Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa) announced here on Monday.

The water supply would remain suspended from 8am till midnight due to installation of a “flow meter” at the filtration plant of the dam, the Wasa announcement said.

Wasa has appealed to the residents to store water for their needs to avoid any inconvenience.

The announcement said besides installation of the “flow meter”, the pipeline would also be repaired at some points. Therefore, it would be impossible for Wasa to provide water to the residents on Wednesday. However, water supply from tubewells would continue as usual, it said.

Wasa has made special arrangements to supply water to any of the above-mentioned areas through water tankers.
