SUKKUR, May 6: Gas supply to the PPL gas fields in Kandhkot from its two wells was suspended when two pipelines of eight inch diameter were blown up by miscreants on Monday.

Reports from the area suggested that explosives material was used to blow up the pipelines near Kandhkot town disconnecting the gas supply from the well number 19 and 20 at about 8am.

The police along with the bomb disposal squad and local PPL officials rushed to the scene. Staff and machinery were employed to carry out the repair work on an emergency basis.

A case was registered at the Bubloo police station against unknown saboteurs.
