Bandits loot Rs300,000 in Swabi

SWABI, Feb 7: Unidentified robbers struck in  different localities, looting a shop and robbing valuables at gunpoint here on Thursday night.

Police said some unknown robbers looted a super store near the Kernal Sher Chowk. Qayyum Khan, the store owner, said the robbers had broken into his shop on Thursday night and took away about Rs300,000 in cash and bags of tea worth Rs 40,000.

The police have registered a case against unknown culprits.

In another incident, robbers deprived three people of Rs 2,000 in cash and a bike near the Naro Banda graveyard on Thursday night.

Similarly,  a  man was robbed of his  belongings   near Gohati.

The Kalu Khan police claimed to have arrested three robbers — Zahir, Nawaz Ali and Faizullah, in the Shewa Adda.
