Landlords arrested: The Ghotki Police arrested two big landlords — Ghulam Haider Bhutto and Ibrahim Bhutto — of Qadirpur, Ghotki district, on Sunday.

They were arrested following their refusal to obey the decision of a Jirga, which was held two days back by the leader of the Sindh National Front, Mumtaz Bhutto, over a land dispute between two groups of Bhutto tribesmen.

The SHO, Ghotki, told this correspondent that Ghulam Haider Bhutto and Ibrahim Bhutto were sent to the lock up without registration of an FIR on the verbal orders of the DPO, Ghotki, as they had refused to accept the verdict of the Jirga.

He said he believed that Mumtaz Bhutto asked the senior police officials to teach them a lesson as they were not accepting the Jirga’s decision.
