Arms seized in Dera Ismail Khan

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Nov 27: A police party, led by Karim Khan, SHO, Kiri Khaisore, seized two Kalashnikov rifles with three magazines, 110 rounds of other guns and 45 rounds of 22-bore pistol during a raid on the residence of Juma Khan Dotani Pawanda on Monday.

The same police party seized one Kalashnikov rifle with 60 rounds and two other rifles with 100 rounds during a raid on the house of Janat Khan Dotani Pawanda.

It was learnt that both the Pawandas were arms smugglers. However, they escaped before the raids were conducted.

Another police party, led by Shafiullah Khan, ASI, seized one Kalashnikov rifle with two magzines and two pistols with 13 rounds in a raid on the house of Mohammad Iqbal in village Bigwani. The accused was arrested.

Another police party, led by Abdul Hai Khan, SHO, Panyala, seized two grenades and one Kalashnikov rifle with five magazines in a raid on the house of Attaullah, son of Faizullah Kuti Khail, in Wanda Jamal. The accused was arrested.
