Wazir made GB`s acting governor

ISLAMABAD, Sept 20 GB Legislative Assembly Speaker Wazir Baig was sworn in as the acting governor of Gilgit-Baltistan on Monday.

The Chief Justice of Gilgit-Baltistan Supreme Appellate Court, Justice Mohammad Nawaz Abbasi, administered the oath. The seat fell vacant last week after the death of Dr Shama Khalid, who was the first governor of Gilgit-Baltistan.—APP
