QUETTA A retired superintendent of police was killed in the Brewery road area here on Wednesday.

Sources said that Usman alias Tikkah Khan Rodani came under fire when he came out of his house. The assailants were on a motorbike and the incident may be another case of target killing.

DIG Operations Hamid Shakeel said the retired officer received multiple bullets wounds and died on the spot.

A policeman quoted family sources as saying that Mr Usman had no enmity with anyone. In another incident in the same area, gunmen attacked three construction workers, killing two of them and injuring the third. All of them belonged to the Hazara tribe.
