LARKANA, March 3: To settle differences between the Jeay Sindh Students’ Federation activists and employees of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Larkana, the district Nazim talked to the board chairman on Monday.

The Nazim asked the chairman to provide the schedule of examination fees as the students were complaining that the board was charging excessive fees.

Earlier, a group of JSSF activists, led by Athar Soomro, staged a demonstration outside the district Nazim office and raised slogans against the board management.

They warned to continue their protest if the employees nominated in the FIR were not arrested.

The Nazim held negotiations with the protesters and asked them to remain peaceful as the cases registered against both the board employees and JSSF activists were being investigated.

Meanwhile, the board employees and the JSSF activists continued their protest and observed token hunger strikes outside the press club and the board office here on Monday.

The board employees said they would continue their protest till the JSSF activists nominated in the FIR were arrested.

Sabir Soomro, the president, All Pakistan Clerks Association, Larkana, in a press statement, extended the strike till Tuesday in all Apca units in the district to press for acceptance of demands of the board employees.
