RAWALPINDI, Aug 21 Members of the United Nations inquiry commission on assassination of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto visited the Adiala police post on Friday and inspected her bullet-proof vehicle.
According to sources, they arrived at the post at about 4.30pm, remained there for one-and-a-half hours and examined the lever attached to the sun-roof of the vehicle.
The then interior ministry spokesman had claimed that Ms Bhutto died of a skull fracture caused by the lever, but her party had rejected the version and called for a UN inquiry.
The vehicle was impounded by police as a 'case property', in addition to her shoes found in the vehicle after her assassination.
Members of the commission also questioned a senior officer of Rescue 1122, Dr Abdul Rehman. Dr Rehman was in charge of Rescue 1122 on Dec 27, 2007.
