Three killed in attacks on villages

SUKKUR, Feb 24 Three people were killed and one injured when rival groups belonging to Kosh and Solangi tibes attacked each other's villages in Mir Kosh area in the limits of Khambhra police station near Ubauro on Wednesday.

According to area people, a group of armed men believed to be Solangi clansmen attacked Dadan Kosh village and opened indiscriminate fire at people, killing Arbelo Kosh and injuring Sahib Kosh.

In a retaliation, a group of armed Kosh clansmen attacked Khairal Solangi village and killed Manzoor Solangi and Waryam Solangi, they said.

Police shifted the bodies and injured to a nearby hospital as the tribesmen took up positions outside their villages and continued exchanging fire.Solangi and Kosh clansmen have been at daggers drawn with each other for 10 years. The dispute started over a theft and the bloody clashes that ensued have so far claimed 56 lives on both sides, including chief of Solangi tribe, Sardar Aslam Solangi, and left dozens injured.

After the murder of Sardar Aslam allegedly by Kosh clansmen bloodshed have intensified between the two tribes.
