RAWALPINDI: Attack on Iraq flayed

Published March 23, 2003

RAWALPINDI, March 22: The local leaders of Muttahida Majlis- i-Amal (MMA) have condemned the US-led attack on Iraq and asked the UN and the OIC to take urgent steps to halt the unjustified bombardment.

In a meeting held here, the MMA leaders accused the United States of committing terrorism and creating a situation like Karbala in Iraq. They said holy sites and tombs of saints are also under fire.

Blinded by its military might, America has imposed a war on innocent Iraqi people in total disregard for the UN and public opinions, they observed.
