ISLAMABAD, Sept 30 The Pakistan Muslim League-N has decided to participate actively in the upcoming Gilgit-Baltistan elections, with the Sharif brothers leading the party's election campaign.

The head of PML-N's parliamentary board for elections, Senator Raja Zafarul Haque, said the board had received three or four applications for each constituency of Gilgit-Baltistan.

“The selection of final candidates will be made by the board shortly,” he said.

Twenty-four general seats, seven seats reserved for technocrats and three for women will be up for grabs in the Nov 11 elections.

Answering a question, Mr Haque said the schedule for the Sharif brothers' visit to Gilgit-Baltistan would be announced soon.
