HYDERABAD, April 17 Sindh Minister for Culture Ms Sassui Palijo has asked 'Pervez Musharraf's political colleagues' in the assemblies to resign over the UN report which holds Musharraf government responsible for Benazir Bhutto's assassination.

Talking to journalists after addressing a ceremony for launching a book on the life and achievements of barrister Raees Ghulam Mohammad Bhurgari by Mohammad Hashim Leghari at Sindh Museum on Friday night, the minister said that the first murder attempt on Benazir Bhutto's life on Oct 18, 2007 in Karachi was part of a chain of conspiracies hatched by the then rulers.

She said that they should not have any doubt about the investigation report but they should now focus their attention on bringing the killers to justice.

Earlier, she said that efforts would be made to include a chapter in textbooks on barrister Raees Ghulam Mohammad Bhurgari and name Sindh University campus in Mirpurkhas after him in recognition of his services.

She said that Mr Bhurgari was a visionary who served the nation in political, social, economical and educational fields. Sindh had given birth to many visionaries and revolutionary leaders such as Mohammad Ali Jinnah, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto who had not only served the nation but also laid down their lives for their cherished goals, she said.

Ms Palijo announced that her department would have the book written by Hashim Leghari in English translated into Sindhi.

She urged the writers, intellectuals and researchers to conduct meaningful research on Mr Bhurgari's services in various fields and disseminating it to make young generation aware of its heroes.

Renowned scholar Dr Nabi Bux Baloch, chairperson of Sindhi Language Authority Ms Fehmida Hussain, Rasool Bux Palijo, Syed Jalal Mehmood Shah, Mazharul Haq Siddiqui, Taj Joyo, Abdul Qadir Bhurgari, Zulfiqar Halepoto, Agha Noor Ahmed Pathan and Dr Ghulam Mohammad Lakho also spoke at the function and eulogised Bhurgari's services.

Earlier, the minister inaugurated a calligraphy exhibition at the Zafar Kazmi art gallery, comprising pictures of Raz Nathan Shahi which depicted poetry of Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai.
