Pakistan out of World Judo Championship

KARACHI Shah Hussain Shah and Fouzia Mumtaz were beaten by Elco van der Geest of Belgium and Laquinta Allen of the USA.

 

The two judokas were representing Pakistan for the first time at the 27th World Judo Championship which is being held in Tokyo and faced tough competition from their opponents in the first round.

 

Shah lost in the 100 Kg class and Mumtaz lost in the 70 Kg class.
