Charsadda, a town near Pakistans main northwestern city of Peshawar witnessed another suicide bomb blast. A suicide car bomber attacked a police checkpoint, killing 16 and having 10 wounded, some of them critically, said provincial police chief Malik Naveed Khan. The attack occurred close to Peshawar in the northwest, which borders Afghanistan and is a stronghold of the Taliban and al-Qaeda.
